Research Director

Stephanie Dr. Stephanie Miller (Ph.D., University of North Carolina at Greensboro)

Stephanie is an assistant professor in the Psychology Department at The University of Mississippi. She studies the development and emergence of behavioral control, and its relation to social (e.g., communication, friendships, parenting) and cognitive processes (e.g., memory). Stephanie has published in professional academic journals such as the Journal of Experimental Child Psychology and Developmental Psychology. In her free time Stephanie likes to cook, bead, travel, and loved solving puzzle games with friends growing up.

 

 

Graduate Students

Reagan Pearce (M.A., University of Mississippi)

Reagan is a graduate student in the Experimental Psychology program at the University of Mississippi. Her research interests focus on how different factors, like movement or mindfulness, may encourage self regulation during preschool. When she is not in school, she enjoys being outside, going on road trips, and playing with her dog, Oby.

 

 

 

Biju Rajbhandari (M.A., University of Mississippi)

Biju is a graduate student at Ole Miss. She obtained her B.A. at Lawrence University where she researched mindfulness and executive function with preschool children.  She is excited to continue research in this area while at Ole Miss. Biju enjoys traveling to different places and learning about different cultures. As a child, she loved to rollerblade with her siblings.

 

Morgan Harris (B.A., University of North Alabama)

Morgan is a second year in the experimental program where she studies executive function and its relationship with different factors such as parenting, sleep, and screen use. In her free time she likes to paint and garden.



 

Fatemeh Esfandiari (M.Sc. Shahid Chairman University of Ahvaz)

Fatemeh is a graduate student in the experimental psychology program at Ole Miss. Her research interests focus on executive function, training games, and mindfulness in preschool children. Outside of school, Fatemeh enjoys playing basketball, reading, and watching movies. 

 

 

 

 

Amanda Greene (B.S., University of Central Arkansas)

Amanda is a graduate student here at Ole Miss. She received her B.S. at the University of Central Arkansas, where she majored in psychology and minored in history. Amanda enjoys working with children and is interested in doing research on better learning strategies for young children. She is excited to join the CUB Lab and further her knowledge here at Ole Miss as a graduate student. Amanda enjoys hiking, baking, doing too many crafts, and spending time with her family and friends.

Racheal Embry

Racheal is currently a senior at the University of Mississippi majoring in Psychology with a minor in Early Education. After graduating from Ole Miss this spring, she plans to pursue graduate school for her PhD in Clinical Psychology. This is Racheal’s fourth semester in the lab and her third semester as the CUB Lab lab manager. Outside of school Racheal enjoys reading, baking, and spending time with friends and family.

Ella Havertape

Ella is a senior psychology major at Ole Miss and this is her second semester in the CUB Lab as an RA. After graduation she hopes to attend a graduate program for genetics counseling. In her free time, she enjoys reaching and spending time with friends.

 

 

 

 

Kayce Hunter

Kayce is currently a senior at the University of Mississippi majoring in Psychology with minors in English and Professional Writing. After graduating from Ole Miss this spring, she plans to pursue graduate school to become a Child and Family Therapist. This is Kayce’s third semester in the lab as a research assistant. Outside of school, Kayce enjoys reading, playing bass guitar, and weightlifting!



 

Kallen Mitchell

Kallen is a senior Psychology and Anthropology major from Jackson, Mississippi, and this is her fourth semester working with us in the CUB Lab as an RA. She intends on applying to Industrial-Organizational Psychology graduate programs, as well as some Archaeology programs, to see where life takes her next fall. Kallen’s hobbies include listening to Taylor Swift on repeat, baking bread, reading, and taking naps with her cat, Giovanni.

 

 

Undergraduate Research Assistants 

 

Abby Brown

Abby is a recent graduate from Ole Miss who majored in psychology with a minor in mathematics. Her future plans consist of pursuing a PhD in Developmental Psychology with an emphasis on children. This is Abby’s third semester in the lab. In her spare time, she enjoys bike riding, playing on her instruments, and hanging out with friends and family.

 

 

Ellie Duffett

Ellie is currently a senior at the University of Mississippi majoring in Psychology with a minor in Religious Studies. After graduating from Ole Miss in the spring of 2024, she will pursue graduate school for her masters within the field of psychology. This is Ellie’s second semester as a research assistant in the Cub lab. Outside of school, she enjoys cycling, reading, and making pottery!

 

 

Hailey Stephens

Hailey is currently a junior at the University of Mississippi majoring in Psychology with a minor in Neuroscience. After graduating from Ole Miss next year, she plans to pursue graduate school for her Master’s degree in Experimental psychology. This is Hailey’s first year working in the CubLab and she is excited to be a research assistant. Outside of school, Hailey enjoys traveling and spending time with friends and family.



 

Ashlynn Payne

Ashlynn is currently a junior at the University of Mississippi majoring in Psychology with a minor in business. After graduating, she hopes to go to graduate school for mental health counseling. Her goal is to become a therapist for children and adolescents. Ashlynn is also an avid photographer and cat lover. This is her second semester in the CUB lab as an RA.
